The region surrounding Denver, Colorado has initiated a comprehensive project for the development of Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP) for government agencies to ensure Continuity of Government (COG).  The 45 unique jurisdictions involved in this emergency planning project include 10 counties, over 20 cities and a number of fire districts and other organizations.  This Continuity of Operations/Continuity of Government project is being funded by the Denver Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) and the State of Colorado North Central All-Hazards Emergency Management Region (NCR).  

The Continuity of Government Committee selected BOLDplanning and their proprietary Continuity of Operations Planning system to assist these jurisdictions with their plan development. The system has been modified to meet the specific needs of the regional government organizations and has been deployed via the internet at www.DenverMetroCOOP.org for this multi-jurisdictional planning project.
